Singer Ras Slick offering Help

Jamaica Observer, March 6, 2015

Jamaican reggae singer Ras Slick recently released his EP Help, to coincide with February’s Black History month.

The roots-reggae artiste, who copped the Best Male Vocalist Reggae Music Awards in Washington DC last year, is pleased with the growth of his career.

“This EP and the title track, Help, is something special to help people… as music helps to relax the mind,” Ras Slick said.

It is currently available on iTunes.

Born in Westmoreland and graduate of Frome Technical High School, Ras Slick (given name Sylburn Rowe) migrated to the United States four years ago.

He got his start in music at an early age through his involvement in the church and later on talent shows.

He continued to develop his performing and vocal skills through his work as an entertainment manager at the RIU Resort.

According to Ras Slick, 2015 is the year to go hard and ensure that his songs are on everyone’s lips and finger tips

“I am optimistic that Help will be the single that will continue the positive work started by my first official single Life,” he said.

Ras Slick is currently performing with his band the Dutty Bus Crew at several entertainment spots throughout Washington DC.
