Reggae artiste Ras Slick is set on balancing music and his business ventures. According to the artiste, he recently launched his own label and also produces his own events.
The Westmoreland-born artiste now resides in the United States and was also an entertainment manager at RIU Resorts. He says during his time at the hotel, it was clear that he would eventually branch off into a music career.
“I expected that I would become a professional performer and a recording star while I was serving as entertainment manager. The guests and staff also predicted my stardom due to the energetic and entertaining stage shows, events and activities I produced,” he said.
The artiste recently launched his own record label, My Time Records, and will produce his own music. Taking pride in being a businessman, Ras Slick says the record label will also benefit other acts.

The artiste also dabbles with event production and will be hosting the third edition of the Reggae Rocks Potomac boat ride on Saturday, June 11. The event is a partnership with Spirit Cruises
