Talented Jamaican reggae singer Ras Slick, who is based in the US, is gearing up for a Black History month launch of his EP ‘Help’.
The conscious vibe reggae artiste, who copped the best male vocalist (2014), at the DC 17th annual Reggae Music Awards, is excited by the continued growth of his music career.
“This EP and title track Help is something special to help people,” Ras Slick said, “as music helps to relax the mind.” Ras Slick went on to claim 2015 as the year to go hard for music and ensure that his songs are on everyone’s lips and fingertips.
This son of Westmoreland and graduate of Frome Technical High School, got his start in music from an early age through his involvement in the church and later on at talent shows and concerts in the area.
He continued to develop his performing and vocal skills through his work as an entertainment manager at the RIU Resort and later on from sharing the stage with other popular artistes at home and abroad.
Ras Slick is optimistic that Help will be the single that will continue the positive work started by his first official single Life. The gifted singer/song-writer is open to collaborations with like-minded positive artistes including Chronixx and Tarrus Riley.
Currently Ras Slick is performing with his band the Dutty Bus Crew at several entertainment spots in Washington DC. Ras Slick’s music is available on his website www.rasslickmovement.com and iTunes. Fans can also follow him on Facebook and Twitter @rasslick.
